Kilauea Pest Control

I have been using John and Kilauea Pest control for over five years and I can't say enough good things about them. They get the job done and the few times I needed him to respond they came out quick and took care of the issues. Mahalo!

Kilauea pest control stopped by this morning and I was very pleased with the technician's work. He was punctual, professional, and extremely thorough when assessing the extent of the infestation. Thank you.

I moved into a new apartment last year and lo and behold pests were showing up, specifically cockroaches. I wasn't going to deal with it on my own and called around, and Kilauea seemed to be the best option (pricing and availability) and the fact that they use animal friendly products were another pro for me. My technician Ness was assigned to me and I was told they like to keep you partnered with the same technician as they know your house layout. He's been wonderful for the past year and so has Kilauea.

The prices aren't cheap but if you need a spot treatment when you see the pests, they'll come out. They call to schedule for your quarterly and they even text you! After the initial, quarterly, and spot treatments, I can confidently say 99% of the pest issue has been eradicated with the very seldom sightings. As I'm typing this, I just scheduled a spot treatment for the sighting I saw the other week. They've been nothing but great and I highly recommend using their service.

Update***** Spoke to the office staff at least 4 times last week to renew my contact and I never received the email to restart services for pest control. I have downgraded my review only based on not receiving a contract. Called another pest control company and was quoted a price that includes pest and rodent services rather than 2 different contacts for rodent and pest control with Kilauea Pest.

Other company will also do crawl space and attic which Kilauea did not do on my original contract. This update review does not reflect the termite service I received with Rocco and Joshua. Late post. KPC has been my go-to for any pest issues. Delt with Joshua, he was thorough in what will be done during the termite treatment. We opted both ground and wood termite treatment. Scheduled very fast and next thing I know Rocco is at our home. Rocco was thorough as well and learned a a lot.

Very polite and hard working young man. Very respectful and answered all my questions. Our property is huge, arrived around 9 and didn't leave til about 7ish or so. Crawled under the crawl space and also did the attic. Customer service is great! We had Rocco and he was knowledgeable and super super, friendly! I came home late but I was able to show him 2 spots that my husband missed and he was super nice and took care of the issue. And the spray they used is a citrus smell.

Eddie and Matthew did a great job in coming to our home and being thorough in their pest control and providing our home with the services we need to combat the problems. They were knowledgeable and professional and we are grateful. Mahalo for great and professional service!

Their website says "same day pest control if you call before noon". This is not true, the could not schedule me the same day or eve tomorrow but on the third day. They also could not schedule me over the phone, but kept saying "someone will call you back", "let me talk to the manager again and I'll call you back". After about 5 calls back and forth they scheduled me for the third day.

This was all so unprofessional, the inly reason I kept the appointment is because my superintendent says they are good and I did not have a lot of time to research since I have a toddler and no free time. Let's see if they really are good. I will update my review only if the service was actually worth it.

BJ has been coming to do my sprays, he's super nice/friendly, polite, and quick! He does a very thorough job, I never find bugs in between my sprays.

Eddie Cintron came today for our regular pest control maintenance. He was able to identify the kinds of ants we have and was able to give them a specific bait. This was important to me because in the past, I would ask what kind of ants we have and they would shrug their shoulders. He was very thorough, informative and friendly. Thanks Eddie! Great Work!

Mikah arrived an hour earlier than expected - which was great - because I had originally requested a morning appointment. He was responsive, courteous, and friendly. We usually have Kimo as our technician, but were just as happy with the service that Mikah was able to provide.

Eddie & Mikah were very thorough in their inspection and found the cause of our pest problems. We were impressed with the knowledge and education they shared with us on how to prevent future pest problems. Mikah went above and beyond, helping us to "clean up" the mess caused by our "pest." He definitely didn't have to, nor was that a part of his job. Both were professional, so helpful, and provided excellent customer service. We will continue to use their services in the future!

We've been clients of Kilauea Pest Control for a little over a year since we've built our House in Laie. Today Eddie came and totally blew away all our expectations. He was quick and very thorough. He took time to also educate my grandma and mom about the products he was using and the insects we were dealing with. Highly recommend Eddie.

I've been using Kilauea Pest Control for the past year and a half. I have found them to be responsive and courteous. What motivates me to share this review today is the most recent service I received. Recently, I've been experiencing issues with a couple of pests - one that's been challenging to identify, although Ashley and Kim have tried to help - and, true to their word, the company has sent technicians to spot treat and remediate after regularly scheduled periodic service. Today, they sent their service manager, Eddie C. and I must share, he is a Star!

A consummate professional, Eddie was thorough, thoughtful, methodical, and, time should confirm, effective (where those who preceded, tried, but couldn't solve the mysteries of possible entry point(s), hidden activity, etc.). He took pictures, and laid out a complete picture that was useful and comprehensible. It is outside my field, but Eddie has got to be a subject matter expert, with near encyclopedic knowledge. An insect detective.

What also impressed me was his courteous service (in line with others I've dealt with at the company) and his committed determination to leave no stone unturned in getting to the likely solutions to the problem. He literally worked himself into a good sweat offering me his utmost. I recommend Eddie and Kilauea whole heartedly!

I really like this company! From the office staff for help with appointments and issues, to the techs I have had, Maika and Russell, everyone is great! They want to properly control pests in and around my house while minimizing our exposure to unnecessary chemicals and treatments. They will treat the house the way you want it, but it is best if you tell them your issues and they will come up with the best plan for you. If issues arise between treatments, they will take care of them for you. All in all, I am very pleased with Kilauea Pest Control!

The company representative was timely and professional. He made quick work of evaluating the termite situation in my condo and he was great at explaining the reason for his recommendations. Should I choose to go with orange oil treatment of my cabinets, I'll certainly use this company.

3/24/22 Eddie C serviced our place this month however all the service providers have been courteous giving me a heads up when they are on their way. They are quick and get the job done. We have not had any ants or roaches since we've been using them! Yay.

Eddie was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond our expectations. He did a thorough walk through of our house, explained the chemical breakdown of the pesticides he used and shared how passionate he is about his job and his work. We had bird nesting in our attic and contacted two companies. Robert from Kilauea Pest came to provide an estimate and answered any questions we had. We felt Kilauea Pest was more professional and answered our concerns better of the two companies. Charles and Keoki came out and were quick and efficient! They removed nests, sprayed for mites, installed new attic covers and put spikes on our gutters in less than 2 hours.

Thank you BeJay! BeJay went over with me what the last technician did 2 months ago, to make sure if everything extra was needing to be sprayed or checked. Thankfully he did! I had forgotten of a new spot that had been an area of concern, so he made sure to spray that area extra. And since the yard always seems to be infested due to feral chickens, he made sure to set out the granules as well. Super polite and above and beyond. Thank you again!

Noticed some termite droppings on my outside table and immediately called Kilauea after reading positive reviews. They got someone out to my house right away. They found more in my closet, I had no idea! Manu was absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable, totally calmed me down from my termite worries as he explained the process to exterminate. He arrived on time too which was great.

We just had our annual termite inspection by Dave V. of Kilauea Pest Control. Dave conducted a very thorough inspection and educated us on preventive measures for termites plus much more. He performed precise spot treatments and scheduled for a follow-up treatment where height is a challenge. I'm very happy with the many years of service I've received from this firm.

Moved into a new house only to find it was infested with ants! After getting quotes from several companies and looking through reviews, I settled on Kilauea Pest. Glad I did! They are quick to respond, work with your schedule (giving you a reliable window of time for appts), and offer competitive prices. We own a historic house in Kailua and have relied on KILAUEA PEST CONTROL since 2016. This company provides outstanding service! They maintain excellent records on our property and call us when service is due. Josh C, the supervisor, is our "point man" and answered all my questions. His knowledge and professionalism inspires confidence in their services.

Our exterminator, David V, was excellent. He was very thorough and very careful. He took extra time and effort doing the outdoor termite treatment (which involved drilling holes into concrete walkways, spraying the perimeter and also spraying deep underneath the house.) Finally, you have to love it when workmen take pains to clean up the area when they are done! Mahalo David! I highly recommend this company.

They come every quarter it's great. Love it! They always text to remind me they are arriving in a certain date to take care of my property. It's nice not to have to think about it and call someone out every time. They are like clockwork every quarter.

I recently needed a pest control company to address some pest, rodents and other issues at a beach property. I reached out to Kilauea Pest Control because of their Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed! They were fantastic. I spoke to Eddie about our issue and he not only explained some of the common pest control issues with our type of property - but also said that he would come out and remove a dead rodent that was in our attic.

Their team was fast, professional, courteous and prompt. Not to mention they were very affordable and offer several services. Charlie was one of the technicians who came out to do the initial treatment - he was great! Look no further - they are the best and locally owned too!

I had a rat issue. I called Kilauea and they were able to come out within 48 hours. I signed up for regular maintenance and received 1/2 off the initial set up. Trevor arrived to my house on time, was friendly, informative and helpful. He helped me move stuff out of a closet! Set traps, bait stations, left extras, and gave me detailed instructions on what to do next. Also. he was so sweet to my dog!

We needed a termite inspection and Kenny G. at Kilauea Termite & Pest Control was awesome. He was efficient, professional, and thorough. He found two spots that needed to be treated and returned the same day to treat those spots and completed the WDO report too. Keep up the great work.

Trevor was awesome in his professional service, listening to the need and providing additional support. Kilauea has been consistent and reliable. 95% of roaches, 100% of centipedes and ants are dead.

The best pest treatment ever! Eddie, the exterminator, treated everywhere with liquid and jel: behind the refrigerator, in the breaker box and outside on the lanai! Eddie told me his advise to customers is : One or two grab a shoe, more than 3 call for free. In addition, Eddie's positive, efficient, attitude made the chap a delight to be around.

Bottom Line Up Front: Great customer service at their main office and professional field service agents. I want to thank Kenny for helping us with a wood boring beetle problem in the wood under our kitchen countertop. He was friendly, wore his mask, took off his shoes before entering the house (without me having to ask), and wore new rubber gloves when he entered our house.

He actually spent some time educating me on the problem I was facing and how the treatment works on this type of pest. They provide a warranty that they stand behind, and will work with their customers to ensure customer satisfaction. They have my highest recommendation. If you need a pest control company on Oahu, call these guys and ask for Kenny. You won't regret it.

In trust the chemicals used by Kilauea Pest Control works, I believe they are deserving a stellar 5 star review. My home was treated yesterday. so I can't comment on the efficacy of the chemicals but as I said "In trust". So why 5 stars? Well for starters Kilauea was one of 5 companies I reached out to via the Yelp business searches. Kilauea responded within the time line outlined on their Yelp Estimate form.

One other company responded; a day late though and the other 3 did not bother getting back to me. Their customer service and professionalism on the phone regarding pricing, contracts and actual services were by far superior to other service companies in other disciplines as well. Here's a couple things you can keep in mind: 1) They do offer an annual maintenance contract.

It prices out to be a little less than your buying 4 quarters of service. To that point, you will receive 6 visits a year versus 4 times a year if you select the quarterly service. 2) I don't know about you but time is valuable to me so when a window of time is provided I expect my service to occur during and within the window of time specified.

They did just that! 3) Phone communication is important, yes that is true. And Kilauea filled that box by calling me when technician is on the way, when they arrive and when they leave. I've not searched for other prices as their pricing seemed okay and I am hanging my hat on their professionalism front office and back! Highly recommend

If you're looking to have your home treated for ground termites, look no further than Kilauea Pest Control. Dave, the technician that arrived from Kilauea Pest Control, did an outstanding job. When he first arrived, he asked if there were any area we might be concerned with. I pointed out a couple locations and mentioned that the last time my home was treated, those areas were by-passed.

While walking around the perimeter, he informed me of what he would be doing. He was patient and explained the entire process. Over my numerous years of home ownership, I've dealt with other technicians from other termite companies. Dave was professional in both his demeanor and workmanship. I highly recommend you request for Dave from Kilauea Pest Control for ground termite treatment.

Kilauea Pest Control does the best job of 3 companies I've tried. They communicate well, show up as promised & provide great education on our options. We got their ground termite treatment. The 2 techs that did the work were polite & considerate, and cleaned up after, even though it involved drilling. They stayed until 6:30pm to finish job, so no question they kept to schedule. Will recommend Kilauea any day.

Matthew came out to do a Sentricon eval of my system. He spent a lot of time digging around to find the stations covered in grass and dirt to ensure I didn't need to pay more for new stations, and eventually found them all. Not only that, but he answered my questions for a solid ten minutes after, on everything from tenting, to pest control, to droppings. Always a pleasure to work with Kilauea!

Steven G and Eddie gave great service. They were friendly, explained everything they did, and was very thorough. They added in our rat trap box that we had bought through Kilauea pest control about 6 months ago but wasn't in the notes. So they added it in for future services so it would be refilled. They went above and beyond and I wish to have them for every service hereafter! Highly recommend.

Joshua Canon did a great job in inspecting my property and. explaining to me what I needed to do. Dave V. did a great job in explaing what he was doing and what we needed to do to ensure that the ground termites are exterminated properly. Eddie and Kaika arrived right on time and were very efficient and informative about why I'm having pest issues and how to help prevent future problems. They made sure all my concerns were addressed. Mahalo!

My pest control guy passed away and I was referred to Kilauea Pest control by the family of the original operator. I blindly trusted them and before I knew it, I was suckered into a 1 year contract. I was quoted $140 for a quarterly treatment. My previous operator charged per visit and I assumed that was what I was committing to. NO. It was a contract for 1 year, billed quarterly.

I asked to be contacted to try and reduce the cost since I paid my previous operator $62 per visit, and they are charging me $140 per visit. Kilauea was charging me more than double! After the first treatment, I continued to have pests in my house. They scheduled a follow up visit. Even after that visit, I continued to have ants in my bathroom area.

Too much trouble to call them AGAIN. I had my second treatment 2-3 weeks ago. Since then, I've had 2 full-sized geckos, 1 baby gecko, 3 flying roaches, ants, ants & more ants, and other assorted vermin INSIDE MY HOUSE. I called a little while ago to ask if the side of my house (I live in a zero lot line community) that is accessible through my neighbor's gate was treated.

They said they don't typically enter another yard to treat houses. I told them they did the first time, with permission from my neighbor. What's the use of treating only THREE sides of a four-sided house? They never mentioned that they didn't treat the fourth side and didn't ask if they could enter the gate. I understand that they bought my previous operator's business, but do they really need to recover the investment so immediately as to charge such prices?

No one ever called me to discuss the price. Do they really think treating 3 sides of a 4-sided house adequate for pest control? None of this makes any sense to me! My word to the wise: BEWARE

My wife found Kilauea Pest Control in 2013 and we are so happy to have them protect our home from roaches and ants. Yes, Hawaii is paradise and roaches and ants are ever present but by arranging quarterly visits and with their policy of free interim visits if you see a problem, our pest problem is minimal. The complimentary follow visits is what sold my wife on Kilauea Pest Control. Bonus!

Some of the best pest control on the island. They are very reliable and use pet friendly products. They've been able to keep stubborn ants out of the house so far. We hesitated to hire a pest control company for years, figuring we could handle this on our own. then the ants started making a home out of the ant bait traps. We knew we had to do something else. These guys cleared up the problem in just a couple visits.

Tried to negotiate an easy inspection price. Wouldn't budge. Brand new cabinets in a condo. No other wood. Very easy money. Didn't want to offer a $25 discount from $350 so I went with another Comp at who did.
