I have never seen someone try to upsell me as badly as with this company. First, the inspector missed our original appointment claiming I was not on his schedule even though I called the office twice to ask why he had missed our two hour window. He comes back the next day claiming nobody put me on his schedule. The office called him twice but he never answered the phone.
I show him the exact problem and the exact location (basement). He doesn't even look at the basement. With zero evidence that there is a problem in the attic he proposes gutting the attic claiming it has original insulation (it does not). I start hearing numbers: 350 + 1600 + 700 and then another $125 monthly to maintain. When I make my argument, Arc (you'll find another complaint about him if you read through the reviews) asks me "Well how much do you want to pay?"' What kind of question is that? I told Mitchell Pest all about my experience with Home Paramount and they came out, solved the problem, made me a coupon, listened to me and never proposed gutting my attic.

We called Home Paramount for an estimate on termite service because we saw their truck in our neighborhood. The inspector showed up and ended up doing a full inspection of our house. He declared that we had powder post beetles and mold. He wove some tail about how the prior home owners had painted the floor joists to hide the evidence of the beetles and said it would cost $5500.00 for a treatment.
He then started winding his way through the basement and said we had mold and needed to replace all of the insulation, observing that the insulation was dirty. (No kidding, it is under the house in a dirt floor cellar.) The mold treatment was going to cost $15,000.00. He then said that we had mice and that eradicating those would cost $3,200. It was a truly remarkable conversation.
I have not been confronted with this level of deceptive scare-tactic marketing ever. It was really shocking but also a bit comical because it was so offensive and over the top. Oh, and the inspector -- Arc -- gave us his business card that said he was in the President's Club for sales. In other words, he has been rewarded for his con-jobs. Needless to say, we sought the opinions of three other pest control companies.
Two said that a powder post beetle treatment was $350; the other said $325 and all three encouraged us to take a wait and see approach as there didn't appear to be an active problem. On mice, no special fee from the other companies; rodent treatment is included in any pest control service. On mold, the other companies didn't provide this service so no comparison but we did have our home inspected when we purchased it three years ago and there was no mold then. Anyway, watch out for this company. I can see their inspectors trying to scare unsuspecting customers into purchasing a slew of unnecessary services.

Do not fall for this company! Decisions are ad hoc and lots of cutting corners! We recently moved to McLean area and thought we had bed bugs. We just signed up for them immediately as they came up in my quick google search. What a mistake. At first, the inspector did a thorough job which I was very happy with. But everything went downhill thereafter.
Their inspectors are overworked and charge random prices. Decisions seem decentralized and adhoc. I was told I did not have bed bugs but carpet bugs. I then was convinced I had to pay $2000! Being a new resident I thought I needed to pay that much to rid the house of all bugs. But when the technician came, he sprayed for 15 minutes and left. My bug problems continued.
I had to call them twice again to check the problem. After paying 2000 dollars, I realized that their charged were ridiculous. Other companies provide the same if not much better service for half the price. Dont fall their "long time company" theme.

Home Paramount sux! They cannot keep an appointment to save them. Everytime, Everytime, everytime, did I say Everytime - they call me to make an appt, they never show up! Never! Their regional manager, Tammy Hershberger won't even return my calls. She can't get the missed appt issue under control either, so I am sure that's why she won't call me back. Justin, a manager has an attitude like I am bugging him & never follows through.
I have used this company for over 13 years. When Jose was my tech, all was good. When Jose retired a few years ago, it's been downhill & HORRIBLE customer service ever since! My neighbor says the same thing about them never showing up when she has a scheduled appt. Sadly I was the one that recommended them. I have given Home Paramount chance after chance but they got no better.
No more! I have switched for good. If you want a good pest control company in VB, VA, choose ANYONE other than Home Paramount. Where customer service is NOT paramount to them. I would have given them no stars but had to choose.

I have used Home Paramount for five years and have found their technician Sonny to be very professional and courteous. I initially called them for a mouse problem, which they fixed promptly, and I have had no pest problems since. I am signed up for bimonthly applications which are reasonably priced.

My tech was always pleasant and thorough. The office and management team are abysmal. I finally cancelled my contract with them after the mess this week. I had clearly indicated, and they confirmed it was in my record, that I would call and schedule my next service and not to put me on an automatic rotation. Well. don't they show up unexpectedly the other day.
I am in a meeting and can't get out there to talk with my tech until he is almost done. When I called the office to express my complaint, all they offered was for him to come back out. That wasn't the point. The point is that they weren't supposed to come, they came and were disruptive, and they charged me for a service I didn't request.
They didn't offer to refund my money and the woman who took the call was very ill equipped to handle an upset client and definitely did nothing to keep me when I told her I wanted to cancel my contract. While their tech service is fine, the office isn't worth the hassle.

I have been using Home Paramount for about 7 years. After our last technician Jose retired we have got nothing but BAD service. The techs seemed rushed, they never knock the spider webs down, and they just seemed to spray and go. We did get a new technician named Brandon who we actually recognized from treatments on a business we owned a couple of years ago so that was a relief.
He did a very good job as expected but we had to stop him when he was about to knock down a wasp nest without spraying it down first and we have pets and kids ( they was not around by the way) We asked him why isn't he gonna spray them and he told us that this was the best option at the moment. Poor guy. Please do not send technicians especially good ones who do not have the right chemical to do a job and are at risk of hurting themselves and other people. We will be leaving Home Paramount after the contract ends as well as our neighbors.

I've been using Home Paramount for three years for exterior flea and tick treatment. Out of the blue, they called me to say I was due for a termite inspection--odd since I'm not enrolled for that service but I welcomed their visit. An "Inspector" showed up to my house and quickly assessed that I had a major carpenter ant problem---which I know didn't exist.
He quoted me $3,200 to remedy this so-called problem---completely absurd. When I respectfully declined, the "inspector" left me his business card in case I changed my mind. On his business card, it said "President's Club" which is an award given to a top sales guy, so this "inspector" was in fact a sleazy sales guy trying to pull a fast one on a single female homeowner. Dishonest and unethical.

Scam, they have awful customer service and they will charge you past your first year without notifying you. I purchased explicitly one year of service from them and they continued to charge me past that time. They'll keep avoiding you so you cannot cancel this recurring payment. I'm soon having to resort to a small claims lawsuit with them because of this.

I saw rat droppings in my crawl space, called these guys, they came out the next day and took care of everything. They had to set traps in the crawl space and have been out once a week to check them. Jesse is on my speed dial and he is very professional and responsive to all my concerns. Very smart. Very nice. Very professional. Highly recommend.

They came to do a service at my neighbors house. The first time was a Saturday where they decided to park in my driveway after she specifically told them not to. When my wife asked them about moving the vehicle the guy asked "Oh is this your driveway". When I got in, the truck was moved but they had the bags of insulation laid out on my front lawn like as if I was the one getting the service.
When I asked them how long it was going to be there they asked was it in my way! Evidently they didn't finish on Saturday because they had to come back later in the week. My security cameras kept notifying me so after several alerts I disarmed it. I watched a few of the videos and you see the tech getting his foam cartridges. When I came home there was a pile of expandable foam in my driveway where he cleared his gun. I called the company and they claimed they'd send somebody out to take care of it. There's STILL a pile of foam in my driveway.

Home Paramount is all about customer service. Felix is my assigned technician. He is always happy! A mouse family tried to move into my house in June 2019. The Felix eviction process took two days. He placed the traps and all the right places. Shane (home inspector) was also a pleasure. He has a wealth of knowledge. I didn't give the business 5 stars bc they tried to sell me an attic service for almost $4500.00. I decline the service bc I knew the price was inflated. IR

Just moved in my apartment and had a worker come out after a concern given to my apartment complex. The person had no issue walking around spraying the first time. It's just weeks later and I'm still moving stuff in so I admit I had piles of stuff around. The same worker came out this time with a coworker and stated walking in that he could not spray with a little laugh as if to be a joke.
Not any of my areas where he sprayed last time were blocked so I didn't get the joke. He continued on just doing what he could as his coworker just stood there not even following to help. When they were leaving I asked him a question and he looked as if he didn't have an answer which obviously should have been a comment to what happened next. I asked him to spray my front door since he seemed like he couldn't in which last time he went the extra mile to do.
As I was locking my door, the two were not even two feet from my door when they started making comments. The one who did nothing said my place was a "dump" while the other said I was making poor excuses. Completely had a conversation loud enough for my neighbors to hear in my building how my apartment was a mess. Totally unprofessional and if I had such a bad mess in my house, why didn't the guy tell me clutter wasn't going to help instead of just making rude comments outside my door. Really unprofessional.

These people are absolute crooks and liars - use them at your own peril. My wife and I bought a new home in 2018 and used their service for only a few months before we fired them for their deceit, poor performance, lies, and general inadequacy. We were upsold on an exclusion service to keep rodents and small pests out of our house. After three attempts, they still did not adequately perform the service. Additionally, we had a technician tell us we had a severe rodent problem in our roof that required a full tear out of the insulation and remediation for several thousands of dollars.
We got a second opinion and were told there was no problem. We fired home paramount because of this and their inadequate exclusion service. After being sold the exclusion, we were told it had a one year warranty. What we weren't told was that the warranty was contingent upon using their service and allowing them to continue to lie and upsell us on unneeded services.
Not only did I pay for an inadequate exclusion service, the company now refuses to exclude areas it missed when I initially paid for the service. I feel swindled and I feel like these people are unabashed thieves. I will be complaining to the better business bureau.

They came out to treat and the same evening the bugs moved to a new location and found one in BR. I was doing better treating on my own. Update. The heat treatment they promise is 98% effective and very expensive. Not 3 hours after the heat treatment, the bugs came back. The manager gave me her personal email and when I reached out to her after the bugs, she refused to initially help. They have been treated twice and keep coming back. I have changed this down to one star, would be zero. There has to be better options which actually work.

I called for an estimate for dealing with bees living in my window channels on 3rd floor. the estimator showed up an hour and a half early, could not distinguish between a shutter and a window, took a cursory look at the situation from the ground and gave me an estimate of $900 with a straight face! i got another estimate for $165 with guarantee to come back and treat as needed and plug up holes so they wouldn't return.

After getting a quote for exclusion work and insulation with a competitor, these guys gave me the best quote, saving me thousands. They even accommodated my extremely busy schedule, as I travel often for work. They were extremely responsive with my concerns. Not only did I save a lot of money, but they showed up at my house any time I had concerns.
I live in a townhouse, which makes pest control hard, and these guys are top notch. I'm glad I made the switch. If you're looking for fair and honest pricing, these guys will work with you.

Awful! Not sure if this is a legitimate business or a contracting service. Every time I called, I reached a dispatch person. We bought a house and Home Paramount had installed termite bait stations for the previous owners. After one year, the warranty/contract expired. I asked them to come out and remove the bait stations, which they are required to do.
I did not get a response after the dispatch person told me she'd have someone call me. THREE TIMES! Six months later, I get a call that the stations would be removed that day. I was not there, but I was fine with it. I get home and find they removed the bait stations, but they did not fill-in/cover the holes. I called the guy back and he informed me that someone had already come by earlier that week.
So you're saying that someone was trespassing on my property without my knowledge! I told them that they need to fill in the holes, which he said they would do. One month later, still no action. I would caution anyone wanting to do business with this company. Customer service is severely lacking.

Terrible company, terrible customer service. The Falls Church crew charged $895 for an initial 45 minute visit, and I should have been suspicious when they did not show me published pricing. They promised in writing to return for a follow-up visit. The follow-up visit was a joke: they appeared a week late, then refused to apply treatment to my 3 carpenter ant site locations.
Their reasoning was they could not see the ant trails. I pointed out the 3 sites were at the same original locations, and had been cleaned by my housekeeper before there late arrival. So nothing was done, then or since. Absolute rip-off: their corporate voice mail brags about their customer service - which is another tip-off that they don't have any.

Contacted them after discovering rodent problem; very traumatic for family with kids; someone came the same day and told us that rodents were getting in the house through damaged vents and crawlspace door; made us sign a very expensive annual contract for things that didn't include rodents, and then charged us extra to repair the vents and door; since we were desperate, we agreed; gentleman said he would return the next day to check the traps he set and to repair our vents and crawlspace access; after not hearing from them for a few days, I called; weeks passed and still no one came to check the traps or repair our vents/access; I had to call the company more than a dozen times, and then finally, nearly a month later, someone came by to repair the vents; I asked if they could check the traps but they said someone would come by later; after several more weeks of inaction, I finally fixed crawlspace access myself and asked to cancel the contract because of no/poor service; received only partial refund but only after another dozen calls; felt like they took advantage of our vulnerability simply to get us to sign an annual contract and then they just ignored us; awful experience on top of what was an already traumatic experience with the rodents

I have had a contract with Home Paramount for 25 years and have been satisfied with their service until this week. I saw a mouse in my kitchen (first time in the 8 years in this house) and called Home Paramount who had taken care of mice under my contract in my previous house with no extra charge. They came out and set traps and then sent an inspector who proceeded to tell me I needed an "exclusion" service not covered under my contract.
The first quote was $2100 which was lowered to $1800 because I had been a customer for 25 years and then lowered to $1200. I have since had another company come to inspect and was given a quote of $199 which would have been covered under their contract. There is no evidence that I have a significant problem and don't need a major "exclusion" job.
I feel that I was targeted as a single woman who was clearly upset about the one mouse I saw. I have cancelled my contract with Home Paramount. The technician, Sonny, who has serviced both of my houses for 20+ years was on vacation. I'd like to think that things would have been different had he been in town.

Military families beware! We scheduled a lease required indoor pest treatment 30 days in advance for 9am. At 9:30am no one showed up. I called and spoke to Mr King and he told me that they did not have us on the schedule. He promised to research it and call me back in 15 minutes. He never called backed
